How can you immerse yourself in the fascinating world of Georgia in just one day? One of the answers to this interesting question could be a day tour to Kazbegi and Ananuri, where you will have an unforgettable trip from the capital Tbilisi to the snow-capped peak of Mount Kazbek. Along the way, you will visit the fabulous Ananuri complex, located near the quiet waters of Lake Zhinvali, see the beauty of the mountain rivers and gorges of the Caucasus, and at the end of the path you will be able to enjoy the peace in the Gergeti Church, which offers a magnificent view of the village of Kazbegi below, and the majestic Mount Kazbek above.

Tbilisi – Ananuri – Kazbegi – Tbilisi
Our tour to Kazbegi will start at 09:00 am in Tbilisi. Our guide and driver will meet you at the hotel. Our journey will take us along the Georgian Military Road towards the border with Russia. This is the oldest and most important transport artery that has been connecting Russia and the countries of Transcaucasia for several centuries. Along the way we will visit the architectural complex of Ananuri, the former residence of the princes of Aragvet. The churches and medieval towers of Ananuri rise majestically above Lake Zhinvali, embraced by the slopes of the Caucasus Mountains.

We continue the tour with a stop at the confluence of two mountain rivers near the village of Pasanauri. The peculiarity of this place is that each of the two rivers has its own color and when the waters of the two rivers merge, they flow parallel to each other for a long time without mixing. Our path will continue through the Cross Pass with a stop at the panoramic observation deck of the Soviet period “Friendship of Peoples”, which offers a picturesque view of the deep gorge of the Caucasus Range.

We arrive in Kazbegi and ascend to the Gergeti Trinity Church, located at an altitude of 2170 meters above sea level. In good weather, here you can enjoy the stunning view of the famous Mount Kazbek. Return to Tbilisi along the Georgian Military Road.

We will visit the new monastery of the Daryal Gorge where unforgettable landscapes open up, where you can also purchase monastery wine and other products if you wish.
